Why
Why am I living here
In a world where I am lost
Where even when the wind changes
My life becomes a tornado
Mixed emotions, a limbo of life
Not knowing my real friends
Not seeing them through the storm
The storm created by my tears
The clouds by my hazy vision
The lightning is missing though
For I possess no flash of inspiration
I don't know what to do
Which mountain to scale
To view a better world.

Older
'I'm growing older
Before my own ageing eyes
Yet when I look deep within
I see only a little girl
That knows so little
About the very world in which she lives.
I open my eyes, my ears and heart
To absorb and possess
Information to make me wise
Yet the days seem too short
As I inevitable travel
Towards an age when I can learn no more
Yet I still won't understand
What's behind it all.
What makes me me
And not someone else.
Look
Look at me
I'm where I want to be."
I watched as you climbed
To the top of a mountain
I watched as you stood
And stared out with awe
But now I will watch
As you fall to the bottom
Unable to fathom
Where you have been
How can I tell you
That paradise isn't forever?
How can I tell you
That dreams are just illusions?
How can I tell you
That we all must return
To the reality that we try and avoid?
Without having to watch you
Live through the pain.
